"A day of 5000 degrees" by Kiki Super Rolling Sound (Guitar Rock Artist from Japan)

"A day of 5000 degrees" by Kiki Super Rolling Sound is a pleasantly nightmarish ride through dark times. It claims to be music inspired by the aftermath of the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in WWII, and it delivers. Its centerpiece is the guitar work of Masato Kikui, which acts as the sometimes harrowing, sometimes peaceful voice through atmospheric, sound-scape accompanied tracks. The darkest and most powerful track, without a doubt is "White Light - 5000 degrees Centigrade - a Bomb Blast - Black Rain". How's that for a title? It's not all "Horrorshow" though. The album wraps up nicely with "Hope" a beautiful acoustic number coupled with some bright, dreamy, ambient synths. Overall, it's quite an experience. Pick this up if you like powerful alternative instrumental music.

"The Nobel Pauper's Grave" by Protos (Progressive-Rock band from England)

"The Nobel Pauper's Grave" by the exceptionally artistic Protos is an inspiring progressive-rock journey. The musicianship throughout the CD is very impressive. Mixing in narratives, this collection tells the story of a man who flees his life of wealth and luxury to live among and fight for the poor. As such, "The Novel Pauper's Grave" is very dynamic, containing musical compositions aimed at representing a wide range of emotions and experiences. "Born a Bit Blue" is noteworthy for its lively, melodramatic vibe. "Travels" shifts into a more serene sound. Moreover, "The Rally" achieves a very epic sound through the use of triumphant orchestral lead melodies. "The Noble Pauper's Grave" is very successful in taking listeners through the highs and lows of this tale's epic journey.
